Anyone who relies on Hollywood for lessons on anything has been lost to the brain freeze of media. It’s inevitable that generations brought up on garbage for the mind would use it for their life lessons.

I’m all for entertainment and loved the first Star Wars movies but I viewed them as just that; entertainment. It seems we’ve gone way beyond that as a society. I think I’ll remember how great the first Star Wars was and let this one slide along DeCaprio’s bestiality and others. Hollywood and the entertainment industry have become pretty sick places. Finding something worth watching or reading has become a lot like trying to find something to eat in a garbage can.

You don’t think cultural objects are an important part of how a culture thinks about itself? Movies are a big part of that.
