‘Senate campaign 2011, on youtubeâ Ted said he would favor âa wallâ.
So five years before he got in the Senate he mentioned we needed a wall built. We he sure seems to have forgotten about it till a week or two ago. It’s never been a big part of his campaign.
For as long as I’ve listened to him, his position has been that he would secure the border. He explains that existing federal law mandates 750 miles of double fencing on the border, of which only 30 miles has been erected. He said he would complete the entire 750 miles and secure the border.
If the word “wall” resonates more with the public- or is more simply understood- why shouldn’t he use it? Double fence or wall— it doesn’t alter the underlying purpose.
