A 15-year-old high school football player was hailed a hero after he was fatally shot as he covered three girls when a man ârandomlyâ opened fire on a crowd in Tennessee, police said Friday.
âZaevion Dobson, a 15-year-old Fulton High School student and football player, was struck and killed after he had jumped on top of three girls to shield them from the shooters,â Knoxville police Chief David Rausch said, appearing emotional as he held back tears during a news conference.
None of the three girls were injured, according to a GoFundMe page for Dobson, that said he was âour hero.â
Thursdayâs deadly incident began when Brandon Perry, 23, shot his mother, Lisa, in the back several times, police said.
She suffered non-life threatening injuries, and a 10-year-old who was also inside the residence was not injured, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

That’s so sad.
RIP.
You posted a picture of a hero.
Explain.
Now things are getting a little strange. The comment to which you responded contains the answer you seek. I know it’s still Sat. night in some timezones, but jeepers . . . .
Yup. 1rudeboy did some punk-a&& crap there, whatever point he was trying to make. What tiny bit of credibility he retained, he jettisoned. He reaps the crapstorm he sowed.
Lazamataz: FR’s last guardian of credibility.
Bet you won’t see blacklivesmatter within a 100 miles of this hero.
Merry Christmas
If we liked the girls, we would have.
Pray, have you ever written an editorial and contributed it to Free Republic, then had four or five reasonably-large conservative blogs ask to reprint it?
No?
Okay then, you just keep trolling.
Punk.
I think a lot of it is lack of respect, speakin’ a which—my parents didn’t love or respect me as a child, not a bit!
I knew it when I started opening my presents from Santa, some bath toys—a toaster and a radio.
Man, it was tough. And we lived in a tough neighborhood! Everyone ordered broken leg of lamb.
My wife ... ? Hey, she’ll kiss the dog on the lips but she won’t drink out of my glass.
I’m tellin’ you, no respect.
They should rename the school stadium after him. Not many students his age are actual heroes saving others.
I took your comment as being disrespectful to the fine young Man's memory.
At first I thought it was just me that noticed, but after the other comments made to you and your responses to them, I thought I would also respond.
In my experience here, the Amish comment is reserved for singling out people who deserve no respect.
It's that simple, at least to me.
Okay, so your ego seems to insist you get the last word. I’m going to sleep now, so now’s your chance.
Have at it.
Perfect.
You get it.
To me and to many others, Amish can come in any skin color.
I stand in awe, my FRiend. I mean, I’ve had blogs ask this girl I know if they could reprint her recipes . . . but nothing like an “editorial.”
Remember, Pasty White Lives Matter.
I think that was a big Hit Song for Edgar Winter.
Frankenstein is my favorite.
LOL.
A buddy of mine back in High School complained about his dad’s Christmas present to him. (Dad had divorced them and ran off with the secretary).
“My sister got a stereo and three albums. I got a soap-on-a-rope.”
You are asking a guy with the use name “rudeboy” why he is often a jerk? Seriously? At least he is honest about it. Do not feed.
