Sharron Angle, who was vilified for running against Harry Reid in 2010 as a Tea Party conservative, is considering a comeback now that Harry Reid, having suffered a political black eye by losing the Senate, is retiring in 2016. The only problem is that she would have to run against the establishment-backed GOP candidate, Joe Heck.
Joe Heck gets an "F" from Conservativereview.com...just like Harry Reid! He voted to fully fund Planned Parenthood's baby chop shops, voted to give Obama fast-track trade authority, voted against killing Obama's illegal amnesty for aliens, and voted to support keeping John Boehner as speaker, and those are just some of his bad votes from this year alone. If elected to the Senate, he would be like Harry Reid with less creepy glasses.

Wouldn't that be awful, if Angle dragged a RINO "to the right"? He might be forced to at least rhetorically take conservative positions (which, of course, would be forgotten the minute he's elected).
But the establishment sees it as a liability to even run as a conservative. This is the kind of twisted thinking that is opposed to Sharron Angle and other conservative candidates.

I do not mind criticizing a tea party candidate if a better solution is offered in place. But I CANNOT STAND a ‘can’t do’ attitude. All negative with no solution. When I run across it, I address it.
Joe Heck, according to this report, is a CREEP with a giant ‘C’.
The last election was stolen from her. And as for mega-ping — I don’t mean to ‘come off’ as a bully. I just don’t want people to get dispirited and want those in the dispiriting crowd to think, so when I take the time to write and think things over, I ping numerous people.
Angle was a HORRIBLE candidate.
Some others and myself warned freepers not to support her for the nomination. In 2006 she lost a House primary and whined for a REVOTE like a dhimmi.
She ran a horrible race and blew what should have been an unlosable lead. In the end the race wasn’t even that close.
Either of the other 2 Republicans that ran would have beaten Reid and be doing just fine.
We have only 2 decent Senate pickup opportunities and in CO we grasp for a candidate. Heck isn’t great but he’s a damn sight better than Reid’s pet dog who’s running in his place. If there was a “true conservative” running who could beat him and Reid’s dog, I’d back them. There’s not. Certainly not Angle. Zero% chance of her winning in November. Her running again is an epic fail.
Luckily this time I don’t think anyone will give her any money so she won’t win the primary and lose another race for us.
I’m afraid the last election doomed her but maybe not. The general impression here is she’s kind of nuts.

You missed one thing. Mitch ‘the B’ mcconnel has decreed “Let’s not go nominating and electing a bunch of tea partiers”. Or something along that line, so the gopE have been issued their subliminal message/marching orders. Very little difference in the parties any longer. Anointed can’tidates or nobody.

I’m not kidding — I would choose a random foreign speaking illegal border crosser during this primary over Joe Heck. Although, if he wins the freaking primary, I would hold my nose and vote for him OR a random foreign illegal immigrant over the democrat.
She might be an embarassment, but Joe Heck is an abomination only one notch above a democrat. Choose someone out of the phone book or a compulsive gambler. And certainly I would support her over him.
And BTW — was it her outrage over the stolen election that set her off about armed insurrection? I caught that buz in google. She should be forgiven for that. I mean, a senate race stolen? Come on.

Anyway, supporting someone who not only can’t win but will give another black eye to conservatives while losing is counter-productive in every way. I’d back an unknown nobody over her, and I take a very dim view of unknown nobodies running for the Senate.
And the Senate race was not stolen. Reid’s margin was almost 6 points. Voter fraud isn’t magic. When a Republican loses by 1 point, it’s stolen. 5 or 6, no. Maybe his real margin was 4 points but he won cause she blew it.
She was talking about “armed revolt” before the election BTW. I agree with the sentiment but it was one of her gaffes.

Anybody who goes by first initial, middle name has an in late sense of his own opinion. He is also one of thoseb”purist” conservatives who reject Trump as they would Reagan.

Based on Impy’s post 72, I no longer support Angle. But any unknown should be supported over Joe Heck during this primary.
Oh and I can’t resist — my primary vote woould be for the cockroach, although I would not write-in-vote the roach during the general election.
During this primary, would you vote for Joe Heck or some unkown out of the phone book?
Now that I think about it, if Angle is the only anti-Heck, then I’d still vote for her dangit . [during a primary] I’ll quit bugging you about this, but that guy is worse than a ‘loose cannon embarassment’. He’s a corrupt sell-out.
Joe Heck is worse than any maniac nut-job. He’s a sell-out. If he isn’t utterly corrupt, I’d be shocked.
The best strategy for now is to offer Sharron Angle backhanded support [limited strictly to the primary].
Openly skittish support — no vow of loyalty, but rather as the ‘Anti-Heck’.
Heck can win, but the question is what do Conservatives win if he wins ? Angle is a non-starter because she has become a perennial loser. Frankly, I’d like to draft Attorney General Adam Laxalt to run.
