The 4th century Arian heresy did not fade until Arias died. His death was rather gruesome. He was getting ready to ride into a cathedral to take back what he felt was his rightful place as a doctor of the RC Church when he had a strong urge to go defecate. They took him to a public toilet (can you image a public toilet in Constantinople in the 4th century?) and he suffered a prolapsed colon and died from massive blood loss. There’s an icon of the event somewhere. They kept that public toilet for as a shrine for a while. I guess the people who believed in homoousius used it to show what happened to heretics.

He has infected every level of government with young minions that will do exactly what he wants.
