Every time I hear this kind of line from an arrogant Trumpoid, it just makes it less likely I could ever support that johnny-come-lately.

So what you're saying is that you are so utterly weak minded and jelly spined, that your decision as to who to support (or not support) can be swayed by the comments of others?

That's sad.

In Jan 92, Clinton was pathetic and struggling. He had to manufacture that "Comeback Kid" story, and barely made it through the primaries, and only had a shot at all because the bigger names didn't want to take on a sitting president. By May, Clinton was in 3rd place. Then their plan kicked in, the same kind of plan that the GOPe had for us with Bush, and the same kind of plan that Hillary has for us by convincing the GOPe to run Bush. Perot, who was never serious, dropped out, all those people he got worked up switched over to Clinton, giving Clinton the lead for the first time, and Clinton held onto it.

By August, when people started to see Clinton as a phony, and his numbers dropped to where Bush was catching up, guess who shows up to the party again? Perot, to get that 20 percent that kept Bush from overtaking Clinton. Clinton wins with 43 percent.

If a talk show host saw something in Clinton in January 92 that said he would be President, he would have seen it in Huey Long, Gary Hartpence, or Dick Gephardt, too. There was no difference between any of them at that stage of their contests. Clinton was simply the one who had a vote splitting plan that worked, and the one who was running against a feckless GOPe liar who had pissed off his own voters enough that they wanted an alternative.

These are the kind of people I grew up around: salt of the earth folks, who didn’t ask a thing of anyone other than to be left alone.

Wayne Allen Root has nailed it.

He will fire/eliminate all non productive departments and people.

I hope you are right. I am confident that he will want to do so, but I hope he can fight against all of those who will be attacking him for doing so. It will be a mighty, mighty army of bureaucrats, lobbyists, and politicians who don’t want the gravy train to end.

I don’t think you really read or understand what Wayne Allen Root is trying to tell you.

There is no Trump is dropping out or Trump is going to fade. Its as good as over. I have been to a Trump rally. All these people are going to show up and vote for Trump. They are not going to change their mind and vote for Cruz.

The hard truth is that Ted Cruz is not the second choice of most Trump voters. They don’t have a second choice. They are only going to vote for Trump.

If you could not see what I and Rush Limbaugh and I believe Bill OReilly saw at the debate Tuesday night I need to tell you that Trump sewed it up. He closed the deal its as good as over. Ted Cruz knows this and I’m sure he’s either already made a deal with Trump or is negotiating a deal with Trump for a spot in the Trump Admin. He will be a great VP or AG. He will not be President in 2017.

Trump is probably going to run the table in the GOP primaries and its going to be over fast. The faster the better. We all need to start coalescing around Trump and get to the business of the general election and steamrolling over Hillary to the Whitehouse.

You said, My only problem with Trump is that he ISN'T Cruz, and also Trump has a ‘style’ problem.

So what's the problem?

Yep, you just pretty much confirmed my assessment with your reply.

Any candidate that appeals to someone so ignorant they think that insulting conservative voters (who they will NEED in order to win) is productive, is not a candidate I think I ever want to be associated with.

I certainly understand what is about to happen with Trump. I have a true believer living with me - the wifey. I’m okay with it, actually and I’ve promised her that I’d vote for him in the primary. I really like Cruz and hope he can set a deal with Trump high up in his administration.

If he chooses one of the other also-rans than Cruz as a VP I will be disappointed with him. Carson - no, Rubio - no, and all the others on the debate stage except Cruz, actually.

We shall see what we see in March I guess. Right now, all I know is that it is Hell NO for Bush, the same for any of the others except Cruz and Trump

I am sure you know best.

I do indeed. :)

I also recognize sarcasm. :( I don't doubt that you heard a radio host say that. I'm only saying that it was not a prophecy that means much. I don't think Clinton was so great he was destined to be president, he just got a lucky hand at the right time. Same with Obama.

I think a new approach is to quote people withou using quotation marks. Maybe this came about due to all those strange, disruptive symbols? However that may be, I’m seeing more of it. So it’s possible the party you’re addressing actually quoted someone else as having Trump style issues.
...without the quote marks.

Just a theory.

I predict that he feckless congress that can't seem to find any authority to quell the current dictators scrapping of the Constitution will suddenly rediscover those lost powers. Count on it.

Yep, you just pretty much confirmed my assessment with your reply.

And you confirmed my suspicions too, that your loyalty to any candidate is based upon whether their supporters treat you nicely, and don't say anything to upset your delicate sensitivities, poor boo-boo.

Here's a clue from one of my favorite writers, Finley Peter Dunne:

"politics ain't beanbag"

You need to grow a hide son.

Any candidate that appeals to someone so ignorant they think that insulting conservative voters (who they will NEED in order to win) is productive, is not a candidate I think I ever want to be associated with.

Your pontificating could just as easily apply to my fellow Cruz supporters who are unable to restrain themselves, incapable of emulating their candidate who does NOT engage in trashing Trump or other candidates for that matter.

I know it's ironic. It took a business mogul worth $10 billion to bring working class Americans to the GOP, but Donald did it.

These people- almost to a man and woman- have either never voted before, or voted only Democrat in the past, or voted once for a Republican in their lives- Ronald Reagan.

These are Reagan Democrats and blue dog Democrats and independents. This is great news for the GOP. The media keeps saying the GOP needs to expand their tent.

Well Donald Trump has done it.

I was informed by an educated political wizard on this very board that these people no longer exist.

Who knew?

What does Trump think about Budgets ? Will he bring Budgets back ?

Trump has ripped Congress several times in the past week for not beginning to work on the current budget two years ago, instead of waiting until the last moment.

That's how businessmen look at budgets.

“What does Trump think about Budgets ? Will he bring Budgets back ?”

Look no further than how he is running his campaign. That is on a tight budget.
