Other than the World Trade Center, 18 years later (and, I suppose the Boston Marathon), please tell me the last time terrorists hit a target that had to do with a significant moment in our culture.

In my opinion, they're now wanting to MAKE a significant moment in our culture. Doing it on certain, known dates kind of shows their hand.

These attacks are a major part of their recruiting strategy.

But there are much easier than the premier of the most anticipated movie in a generation, and ISIS will wait for them.

If you meant to say, "Much easier targets than the premier of the most---", there is. However we should still not become complacent in that thought.
I'm of the mind that they're going to hit us whenever and wherever they want.
The ball is in their court, and we just have to see how it will play out.
