The delayed presser is underway. It’s full CYA mode. The delay was likely due to gather as many people as possible in “solidarity” of the decision to close schools.
The finger pointing and vicious arguments will probably start right after the press conference. They’ll be beating and blaming one another before this is done.
I missed the first part of the presser because I had to go into my son’s school (different district). Figured I’d missed the whole thing. Nope. It’s still going on, and the only subject is, waaaah waaaaah our decision - safety of our employees, oh yeah, and the kids too - waaaah waaaah don’t second guess. The best was “I have never been more proud of my city than (sniff sniff) in the last few (sob) hours.
