Andrea Mitchell Blames ‘The South’ for New York Gun Violence

During a segment on her Monday MSNBC show using the third anniversary of the Newtown school shooting to demand gun control, host Andrea Mitchell pleaded for national legislation: "Andrew Cuomo, the governor who passed really tough gun legislation in New York....Yet he has said that it is impossible task because you can't do it state by state."

She claimed states that support gun rights were to blame: "It has to be a national conversation because those guns just come in, in people's trunks from the south and they are actually more valuable because they get sold on the black market in New York City..."

Fellow MSNBC anchor Kate Snow agreed: "Right, one state's law doesn't stop the next state - someone in the next state from having a gun."

Oddly enought, I read someplace that after the San Bernadino “incident” sales numbers busted the “color” Friday numbers. “Ironic that Americans are buying so many guns. We just don’t understand why.”

Mrs. Greenspan doesn’t like guns and works for NBC. Wonder if she engages a security company for her and her retired Fed Chair husband that likes and uses guns?

Just wondering.

On December 8 Fox News reported that more than 100 million guns have been sold since the election of President Obama.

We have been hearing from ignorant (of guns) liberals/tyrant-wannabees for DECADES that we need “common sense” gun laws. They have shoved THOUSANDS of them down our throats, each time promising that “THIS is the law that we need to shut down the cycle of violence.” But EVERY time, NO exceptions, these very same people come back for more and more and more.

So here we are, over 80 years since the first set of federal gun legislation, nearly 50 years after the Gun Control Act of 1968, and these very same people are back, YET AGAIN, telling us that the laws on the books (which THEY proposed and shoved down our throats) aren’t good enough - IOW, that we don’t yet have “common sense gun control.” WTF, over?! Didn’t they tell us that they implemented such control before? Why should we listen, AT ALL, to these people, whether in the media or in the Congress or the statehouses? After all, they were wrong before - many times - so much so that they have a track record. Why on Earth would anyone trust that they’ve finally figured out how to solve this problem (especially since their only solution is to just try the same old thing, just harder this time).

On top of that, the very fact that such guns, and such methods of transporting/buying/selling such guns, are ILLEGAL in places like New York, should tell ANYONE with a shred of common sense that another law just won’t do the trick, because (wonder of wonders) the very criminals that use guns in a criminal manner simply do not care one bit about the law.

No further. I’ve long since had it with this entire debate. The other side only wants to take our guns, and they are taking away our right to keep and bear arms one thin salami slice at a time. ENOUGH! The pro-gun side has given and given and given, and received NOTHING in return except scorn, ridicule and constant demands for more concessions. We know where this will end, there is simply no other conclusion possible. ENOUGH! Not one more compromise, not one more step back. It is time to draw our line in the sand, and unlike the spoiled, faggy little tyrant-wannabee in the White House, we have to mean it.

That still doesn’t explain why Mitchell was mad at Palin. The cover of the Newsreek mag seems to have Palin standing at a podium. Maybe Mrs. Greenspan was jealous.

...

It’s a picture that shows off Sarah’s beauty and Andrea hates her for that.

Sarah’s explanation was that the photo was originally for an exercise magazine and that Newsweek used it without her knowledge and Sarah renounced it.

Here’s Newsweek’s explanation:

The thing is that right now only criminals purchase on the black market.

Tell 300 million Americans that they are not allowed to own a firearm, and watch the black market explode. Just like alcohol prohibition, a firearm prohibition will create an entire new industry. You’ll be able to purchase 9mm rifled “plumbing” pipe.

You don't get it.
Push for national/cross state line laws, then the Lib/Prog/Left/Commie/Fascist/Government can make everybody a criminal.
If we are all criminals; then they can stomp our faces with a hobnailed boot forever, under the cover of authority.
If we are all criminals for the mere possession or sale of an inanimate object, then we can all be arrested and eliminated legally under their laws.

It’s the same deal here in Maine.

On the news, when someone is arrested the TV stations always show the booking photos of the guy or gals being arrested.

Black, and sometimes ‘hispanic’ drug dealers are arrested in Maine, and they are from out-of-state, usually from one of four places....Brooklyn, New York; The Bronx, New York; West Hartford, Connecticut, or New Haven, Connecticut. The drug dealers get more money for their drugs here in Maine than they do in New York.

These drug dealers then buy guns here in Maine, which are everywhere.

Yet in Maine, the crime rate is one of the lowest in the country. We have Open Carry and Constitutional Carry. Murders happen but they are rare.
