German Chancellor Angela Merkel exhorted European nations to unite in overcoming the regionâs challenges after a year of crises.
â2015 was an unbelievable year, difficult to imagine,â Merkel told her Christian Democratic party members at the start of a two-day conference in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Merkel reaffirmed her position that the region must work together to overcome its worst refugee crisis since World War II and called on party members to support a resolution that calls for reducing the influx into Germany while rejecting a cap on migrants.
âIt belongs to the identity of our country to do the most that we can,â Merkel said Monday.
Before her speech Monday urging the rejection of a refugee cap, Merkel armed herself with a vote of confidence by senior members of her Christian Democratic Union, lessening the chances of an open revolt.

She should be booted out of office.
She’s been sleeping with Obie.
Traitor. Germans won’t tolerate it
Obama would be more likely to sleep with her husband.
“It belongs to the identity of our country to do the most that we can.”
There won’t be a German identity by the time she’s done.
The Germans aren’t going to play nice with the invaders. Remember a couple generations ago they were Nazis. Don’t count them out. Political Correctness was going to die in 50 years from now but apparently the timetable is being pushed up
“The Germans arenât going to play nice with the invaders.”
Of course they will. Despite the lost cause thinking, we destroyed them fully, completely. They are as unmilitary as Japan. They invited them in, met them waving and cheering at the station, and German women will be hooking up with them. They cheered and loved Obama.
We aren’t much better either, electing an Obama. (whatever that is)
OK, who is worse? merkel or obama?
Just had to add my tinfoil theory. WHen Merkel first did an abrupt about-face and began working against the German people, I thought she looked scared. LIterally. At the time, I thought someone had threatened German or Merkel’s entire family - some big threat that had her aghast and blankly putting one foot in front of the other in disbelief. And since then, she’s settled into her “role.” Just my tinfoil 2 cents.

Just like a liberal- doubling down on stupidity
I have had that perception, too. Like she is scared. Something is going on more than meets the eye.
this is nothing less than total cultural suicide.
It's a shame something happened to it.
You.
My sense is that Merkle is relying on support from more liberal areas of Germany. In Bohemia, Prussia, Wurtenburg, etc. I think the Huns are much against her. Germans have never been big on “Auslanders “
I truly wonder if she is being paid off by Soros to allow such madness to occur on her watch.
Perhaps when the next occurs, it will finish her stupidity off...
