Thousands of shoppers were evacuated from malls in at least three states on Saturday as bomb threats or scares disrupted one of the busiest days of year for holiday shopping.
The evacuations come at a time of heightened vigilance in public places across the country, a week after a husband and wife gunned down 14 people at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California, in what the FBI considers an act of terror.

Where were the malls?
With all the cell phones and propane tanks being bought in bulk in the KC and St. Louis area recently, I’m glad I don’t frequent malls.
Isn’t this fun? Barry’s refujihadis are a real hoot.
I’m guessing leftists not jihadis this time.
According to the post below about the communist DemocRAT resolution, the left wingnuts have now joined with the Muzzie jihadis in their destruction of America.
Dry runs to measure response time. Refine any errors in the plan. Pay attention.
Lefties and Jihadis are joining forces to ‘take down the man.’
Online retail is the way to go. Malls are soft targets. Churches on Christmas Eve. Football bowl games. I’d steer clear of all of them this year. Just any place there’s a big crowd is now Jihadi bait.
Went was the last time a bomb threat for a public place was called in and a bomb was actually found/exploded?
NJ, FL and NM
“Went was the last time a bomb threat for a public place was called in and a bomb was actually found/exploded?”
1996 Olympics in Atlanta. the only one I remember.
Thanks! I didn’t feel like clicking on the story because some websites don’t do well on my device. It takes fifteen minutes to read a story due to the page reloading every fifteen seconds. Ugh.
NJ, NM, and San Fran.
No problem. I have that problem and Breitbart is one that sometimes does act weird.
I am about 52 miles north of the Farmington, NM mall, which isn’t that big. It’s the biggest Mall in a huge area and I visit it about once a year.
Online is the way to go.
We’ll be seeing a lot of disruptions and worse from now on.
Thanks, I got one state wrong.
That’s not the point. The point is terrorism... Stuff where people die.
How many malls?
“Across three states” could be 3 malls or 300 malls.
Few know a mall was evacuated during the San Bernardino incident.
LE responds here but the real event is 20 miles away.
LE responds....2nd attack takes place when responders arrive.
Americans are so spooked at the bad guys do not really need to attack these days—a phone call or a note left in a bathroom is all it takes to close a Mall or store. A cheap Toy, rapped up and left in an airport or Mall, will shut things down as they blow it up thinking its an attack. A bit of white baby poweder sent in a message will shut things down. We are so spooked—a few needles left on seats in a theater or ball park willl close things down. We must not let them win—we must not be spooked by small things.
