Fearful GOP bigs brainstorm Trump alternatives
NY Post ^ | 12/11/15 | Carl Campanile

A group of GOP leaders held a hush-hush meeting at a Washington, DC, restaurant to discuss the possibility of having a brokered convention next year so that they could find an alternative to Donald Trump, according to a report.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus held the meeting with establishment GOP honchos, such as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, The Washington Post reported.

They listened to other GOP bigwigs talk about how, if the billionaire New York developer scored a large number of delegates in the primaries, they could mount a floor fight and get the party to back some other candidate, the report said.

The We only want a candidate who can be bought crowd, Trump doesn’t care about PORK, their main meal.

Making America Great could mean a moratorium on congressional pork.

So Mitch and Reince are the bigwigs who will take down Trump? LOL.

I hope they try, just for the entertainment value of watching them get pounded to the ground.

Those who have Twitter accounts should go to @Reince Priebus and complain. There are many complaints there already.

Since it was all over the radio talk show circuit yesterday,
apparently can’t even properly conduct a “hush hush”
meeting properly.

And they are going to take out Trump (and Cruz)? HA!!!!

What a bunch of clueless, brainless idiots. The group who’s ‘can’t miss’ candidates get trounced every cycle are plotting their next genius move. We’ve lost every race for two decades, with the exception of winning on a technicality in 2000 by 537 votes and producing an underwhelming reelection campaign in 2004 when it should have been a butt-kicking. They ran against the worst candidate since Mondale and only scrapped by with a vanilla message.

Rinse Prius should resign, he violated his own pledge taking up the club against Trump.

The GOP hasn’t closed the border or defunded amnesty or bringing Muzzies to America that 70 percent of Americans are totally against.

Trump gets it right Prius punk must go

I didn’t see anything about the bigwigs discussing how their policies are not serving their constituents and what they can do to change that.

Politics as usual.

There is big gap between the bigwigs and their base and Trump is filling it.

The GOPe lost me when they ran Bob Dole against Clinton because it was "his turn" and it's been a race to the bottom for them ever since.

None the less, if the GOPe had even pretended to have as much concern about Barry obama and what he has been doing to the country I love as they do now about Trump, I might have pretended to like them and their party a little bit.

As it is, they are the team that threw the world series and the super bowl, said "No mas" and tapped out of finishing the round and white toweled the fight one second after the bell rang, all rolled into one.

But, Boy Howdy! They sure do snarl and rage like a kitten when Trump takes their big shtick away from them and pokes them with it!

Wahoo! What fun to watch! And I don't know about you, but I don't feel like saying "wahoo!" very often any more.

For that, I blame, and can't stand, the GOPe and their wacky, oligarchy/uniparty plans and I'm surprised by how deep my anger is for them and their facade.

Watching them rally up now against Trump, I guess Bush was speaking for "them" when he said you're either with us or against us.

Yeah, I figured that one out on my own, thanks.
C'ya...don't wanta B'ya!

Being as honest, unbiased and analytical as I can, for the life of me I cannot understand why the GOPe is trying to undermine Trump.

How can they not see that he could cause a conservative/Republican landslide. Taking the presidency, house and senate. Not to mention that the military and law enforcement agencies from local police to the FBI and CIA will be elated. I’m sure if I see this as a distinct possibility, the Dems see this also.

This will enable him and them to “Make America Great Again.”

On so many things he has unknowingly predicted things that are shown to be true, by events that happens. This shows that he is wired in to many things going on in this world.

I consider myself a smart, principled, very well read person who has learned a lot in life. I assume that that most of the people that support Trump are similar to me.

We are not intellectual lightweights. So the notion that only the less well educated support Trump is a fantasy of his opponents.

The GOPe are the ones that act like Marx. He never worked a day in his life but wanted to direct all the actions of society. And like the GOPe, considered himself, the “better” of most people.

So what is this with them wanting to take out a guy who has cleverly used little of his money, defeated the media, has taken out opponents who themselves are accomplished people. And is leading in most polls by a Yuuuuuuuuuge amount.

So what is their problem, do they hate us or what?
