You just know they’ll pull another attack. They are driven to do it. Not all or even most. But that percentage that are willing to throw everything away for a moment of jihad. Just like the Boston Bombers who were pretty well-off, by a lot of measures.
Yet, they still chose jihad.
Gunman at ASU said to be surrounded; no injuries reported
School remains on lockdown
Arkansas State University remained in lockdown Thursday afternoon after officials reported a gunman had been surrounded with no one injured.
The university tweeted that a reported man with a gun had been surrounded around 1:45 p.m. and that no shots had been fired.
The Jonesboro Police Department also issued an alert saying police were blocking off roadways around the school.
The university said in alerts sent out about 1:30 p.m. that an “active shooter” situation was reported in an area near the student union.
An alert at 1:31 p.m. said the campus was placed in lockdown after a man with a weapon was spotted east of the student union building.
A minute later, a second campus alert said the man was seen at the student union. That alert advised students there to move to the west side of the building and clear the area.
A woman who answered the phone at the campus police department said no one was available to comment.
