Nothing being hidden. The USAF has had a Space Command since the late 70s, or so. We have and are operating the hardware.

Think for a minute, would we have a “Command” if there was nothing to command? We already had/still have a “Missile Command”, but that is for Terrestrial missiles and such.

Space Command is separate from Missile Command.

claimed to have found evidence of U.S. warships stationed in space.
Well, the Space Shuttle must have been doing something over the 30 years it flew.
If it did ferry warships into space, to protect America, I'll stop saying it was a total waste of trillions of dollars.

Here is hoping that they are a part of the Rebel Alliance.

If the markings read MBTA somebody needs to call Boston and let them know we found their train.

:-)

Perhaps Darth Trump summoned the Death Star?

"I found an Excel spreadsheet which said, 'Non-terrestrial officers'."

Terrestrial
adjective
1. pertaining to, consisting of, or representing the earth as distinct from other planets.
2. of or relating to land as distinct from water.

It's a shame that this Englishman does not understand his native language.

This is probably a case of some bureaucratic idiot trying to sound erudite.

Shore-Based vs At Sea.

"On the Beach" vs Sea Duty

There were many DoD payloads and missions during the Shuttle programme.

I can tell you, but only if you know the secret handshake.

>> “There’s no way in hell the Air Force would agree to the Navy running such a program.” <<

.
If that is so, why was the Navy allowed to build and operate the first satellite based positioning system? (Transit)

Well, there was that alternate universe where the Navy got to run the Stargate because it discovered the one in Antartica first.

There are also “honey pots” conveniently placed just outside the perimeter of truly secure information.

When these stories come out - you know someone is up to no good, and getting closer than you want to secure information. Then the perp is busted, and the security profile changed.

So the Air Force lost the hold on space? Right. If this program exists it might explain why the F-35 per copy price is so high.
