They still, to this day, talk of their hatred of George Bush. Their heads will explode if Trump is elected.
For people who pride themselves on being reserved and polite I have always found to be the exact opposite. They boast on how the rest of the world view Canadians. They openly discuss politics and assume everyone complies to their thoughts. They belittle the U.S. in casual conversation constantly. Meanwhile the Province of Quebec wants to separate from Canada and has enforced French only speaking and street signs. Where does this sense of superiority come from?
Quebeckers don*t really feel themselves part of the Orwellian Ingsoc Establishment in Canada, even though they seem to cluster at court.
