A police bomb squad detonated a device Wednesday that was found inside the library at a Vicksburg school.

Every now and then I have to send a fax to someone for some reason.
I don’t use our old fax machine to do it.
I use this:
You create a PDF file of the docs you want to send then launch this program from their website. It takes the PDF files and converts them to FAX code, sends them, then sends a notice to your email that it was received...................Free...................
Homemade clock?
I can see how that would be satisfying.
The “device” turned out to be a “Daniel Boone” lunchbox containing a bologna sandwich on whole wheat bread, a banana, and a cup of raspberry yogurt.
It is commonly referred to as a book and the Bomb Squad apologizes for their ignorance and blamed it on never seeing one.
“They blew up a fax machine in Tucson Monday”
My husband would be cheering! He hates them! lol!
I’ve had too many experiences with the police, fire, and haz-mat teams overreacting. It’s like they’re looking for any excuse to play with their toys.
More than likely just following protocol. Trying to investigate, instead of following disposal procedures may end up with bomb disposal person becoming the victim.
If you’ve signed a mortgage since Bush 1 was in office faxes have been sent for you. Car loans. Any medical thing that involved more than 3 doctors. Faxes are a constant in life, the software makes it invisible, but it’s still there. Really there’s a very good chance those PDFs you’re e-mailing are being handed to fax software by your mail server. I used to think “nobody sends faxes” then I got this job and looked at the customer lists (about 450 of the Fortune 500) and realized that while I personally might not be sending faxes, my life is faxed.
Yeah, of course the protocol can be pretty paranoid. In the end they’re playing the odds for safety, not for probability. They know 99% of the time it’s not a bomb, but they also know that 100% of the time blowing it up in a controlled manner in the bomb box is the smart move.
Itâs like..
Sorry they are!
Itsâ¬â¢
I didn’t do that where it came from is ???
Ms ping
LOL, you are bound and determined to get that word paranoid in there.
The High School is 4 long blocks down the street from my house.
I have NOT joined my nosy neighbors on their porch talks about this incident.
“The number one way to deal with something that âmightâ be a bomb is to put it in a cool box, blow it up and measure the force, if itâs no strong that what they used to blow it up it wasnât a bomb.”
I thought the idea was to separate the components of the bomb (timer, battery, detonator) rather than set off a sympathetic detonation.
Bear in mind I’m not an EOD guy, I can’t run that fast.
Whoever is responsible will now get an invitation to the White House.
The idea is to have it blow up on your schedule rather than the bomb maker’s. Maybe there will be a sympathetic explosion, maybe not, but the important part is it went off where and when you wanted and therefore harmlessly.
