Without Guadalcanal, without Leyte, without Iwo Jima, without sinking the entire IJN, the bombs would have been meaningless.
That is a totally different subject. Good question but again, totally different subject. Original post was that bombs don’t win wars. I just pointed out an example of when it did.
If you want to speculate on a “what if”, that would be interesting but not relevant to this post.
