I’ve listened to Dave Ramsey for a long time. I came into a little money about ten years ago and combined with some other funds, I paid off my 30-year mortgage in thirteen years. What a wonderful feeling that was! Congrats! We also paid our mortgage off. 33 year note in 16, including four or five years where my income was collapsing, I went back to school, changed careers, etc. At one point we were Ebay-ing all kinds of junk out of the attic to keep the house. Then, I landed my current job, and we poured it on, finished the last 1/2 of the debt in three and one half years. Puts a new meaning to PWNED!
