Actually I think the biggest mistake is that conservatives listening to talk radio and posting here get the feeling that “we the people” means something. But really our point of view doesn’t amount to much.

Folks, we aren’t We the People...

We are a shrinking minority..

I don’t agree. There are many more of us than you think.

Maybe not all conservatives but good decent people who have been too busy working and taking care of their families to pay much attention. Republicans and democrats.

Terrorism has a way of grabbing attention and waking people up.

Disagree. Everyone is a conservative when the bubble bursts. Reality always wins. It’s just that some stay in denial longer than others.

Another thing. Too many conservatives are willing to accept the “us versus them” premise. This isn’t chess. This is othello. The tide can turn dramatically. People can change their worldview. We don’t gain anything by giving up on one of the most important tools of our freedom, the right and the power to persuade.
