Giuliani refutes Trump’s 9/11 claim

Donald Trump’s claim that he saw “thousands and thousands of people” in New Jersey cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, has been refuted by police, elected officials, religious leaders, fact-checkers and the media — and, now, the mayor of New York City on 9/11: Rudy Giuliani.

“We did have some celebrating — that is true,” Giuliani said on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday. “We had some pockets of celebrating.”

How many pockets?

“Ten. Twelve? Thirty. Forty,” Giuliani recalled. “We had one situation in which a candy store owned by a Muslim family was celebrating that day, right near a housing development. And the kids in the housing development came in and beat them up.”

Forty pockets of celebrating. If an average pocket is 10, that is 400, if an average pocket is 25, that is 1000. Someone has to have a video of it.

his statement was :

“”I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down,” he said.

somehow I think he may simply have mispoken.. for some reason

It’s apparent that you don’t follow Trump. When he said thousands, he was referring to world-wide celebrations, not just in Jersey City. And, I’m sure the number ran into the thousands world wide.

I still think he was doing a world-wide numbering. He talks that way.

BOTH OBAMA AND OSAMA HAD
FRIENDS WHO BOMBED THE PENTAGON

_________________________________________________________

From HumanEvents.com, April 29, 2008:
"By all accounts, he [Obama friend and associate, Bill Ayers] was a ferocious, violent, revolutionary Marxist in his halcyon days as a Weatherman leader. He and his Weatherman bombers were enamored of Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung -- indeed, all the murderous heroes on the Left. Referring to the Weatherman members in August 1969, he said (according to the FBI): 'We're revolutionary Communists.'

He got off on the group's multiple explosions, too, and discusses them rather lovingly in his memoir.

Ideal Bombing Weather:
'Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon,' he writes (although he concedes it was really a group effort). 'The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them.' (p. 256 in the 2003 edition.)

BOTH OBAMA AND OSAMA HAD
FRIENDS WHO WANTED TO BOMB FORT DIX

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
March 6, 1970: "three members of the Weather Underground accidentally killed themselves in a Manhattan townhouse while attempting to build a powerful bomb they had intended to plant at a social dance in Fort Dix, New Jersey -- an event that was to be attended by U.S. Army soldiers. Hundreds of lives could have been lost had the plot been successfully executed."

"The bomb was intended to be planted at a non-commissioned officer's dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
The bomb was packed with nails to inflict maximum casualties upon detonation."

"The bomb preparations have been pointed out by critics of the claim that the Weatherman group did not try to take lives with its bombings.

Harvey Klehr, the Andrew W. Mellon professor of politics and history at Emory University in Atlanta, said in 2003:

"The only reason they were not guilty of mass murder is mere incompetence. I don't know what sort of defense that is."[2]"

2007 Fort Dix attack plot

A group of six radical Islamist[1] men, allegedly plotting to stage an attack on the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, United States, were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 7, 2007. They were subsequently charged with planning an attack against U.S. soldiers. The alleged aim of the six men was said to be to "kill as many soldiers as possible".[2] Their trial began on October 20, 2008. [3]

Opening arguments were presented on October 20, 2008.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick said the defendants were inspired by jihad saying "Their motive was to defend Islam. Their inspiration was Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World - where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' - both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

So—Trump was right—only error in the numbers of people cheering. If not Thousands—Hundreds. They overlook the fact that even a dozen would have been too much. The MSM were ordered to put a damper on the story by the US Government—and wisely so— I remember those days after 9-11. If this had gotten out Mosques would have been burned—people killed etc... So we had Bush say Islam is a religion of preace rather than have a bloodbath.

perhaps the candidate was simply overstating the matter.

Kind of like when Obama said "if you like your doctor" and it turned out we couldn't keep our doctors, or "the average family of four will save $2500 a year" and Obamacare turned out to cost the average family an extra $3000 a year for less medical care, or when Obama said he was "the most pro-Israel president in history" when he's the most antisemitic occupant of our White House in history. Overstatements from democrats get a pass, while comments from republicans get viciously attacked, even when they are true.

Yet no one except a few of US read the writing on the wall. Deportation of all non-citizen Muslims and surveillance upon all citizen Muslims never started, as it should have on 9/12/01.

Certainly its corroborating. It's funny how the lib mantra started as "categorically false" and the truth dribbles out to "true but exaggerated".

BTW There will be more "truth dribble" that will further substantiate Trump's claim but it will continue to be buried by the LSM. It is one of their classic tactics, hype the falsehood immediately with 24/7 bombardment then as time goes by put the truth on page 23 or in the 10 PM newscast.

plain means unmistakably clear.

idiosyncratic personal manners of speech that one might safely use amongst friends, and is ill advised when speech speaking to a far wider audience.

no idiosyncratic speech is not a :cardinal sin” it just muddies the water.

I was just clarifying Guiliani’s point. I think Guilani should have stopped when he said he knew of celebrations in NYC.

But then he carried the GOP’s water by parsing the numbers.

So, of course the dishonest MSM ran with that without the clarification that Guilani agreed with Trump that there were indeed celebrations.

And you are correct—there are too many witnesses that thee celebrations happened on US soil on 9/11.

Thank God Trump did not follow the GOP-E playbook—which says to fold and apologize at the earliest opportunity.

He fights for himself—he will fight for our country.

That is why he has my vote.

I know folks who live in the adjacent town, Clifton, NJ, who said the same thing about Paterson.

The celebrations were in the Main St. area from the Crooks Avenue boundary line back to St, Joe’s Hospital; also down Crooks Avenue near the intersection of Getty Avenue.

Even then South Paterson was a Muslim enclave with many Muslim businesses along Main Avenue.

People were hot about it for a long time.

After all, over 700 people from NJ died on 9/11/01.

Yes, it DID happen.

An interesting follow-up question for Rudy would have been “well how many of these pockets of ten to forty Muslims would you estimate there were?”

Funny how such obvious questions never get asked.

BTW, if there were pockets of up to 40 people celebrating in NYC, it’s very plausible that there were larger groups in places like Paterson NJ where the concentration of Muslims is higher.
