Muslim cab driver says passenger asked about ISIS before shooting

Authorities continue investigating the shooting of a taxi cab driver in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood.

Now, that investigation could have national implications.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations is calling on the FBI and the Department of Justice to join the investigation of the shooting.

According to police, the victim was driving on Second Avenue around 1:40 a.m. when a bullet struck him. He was able to drive to the area of Second Avenue and Mansion Street to get help.

"We see it as part of that phenomenon. It's why we asked the Department of Justice and the FBI to add their resources to the case to bring the perpetrator to justice," said Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

CAIR is asking the Department of Justice to investigate the incident as a hate crime.

During the trip, the suspect allegedly asked the 38-year-old driver about his heritage, isis and mocked the prophet, Muhammad.

At the end of the ride, the suspect said he left his wallet in the house. A few minutes later, the driver said the suspect then returned with a rifle.

Pittsburgh Police said the victim did not initially share many of those details with investigators.

A spokesperson said there is no description of the suspect.

Most of these things turn out to be hoaxes, but that doesn’t stop the media from giving them full coverage, because it fits their narrative. Once they are exposed as a hoax, it’s quietly dropped, and all the Low Info Voters only remember the original reporting, not that it was found to be a hoax.

This reminds me of an alleged incident at San Diego State University last week. A female mooselimb student claims that a white male assaulted her in the parking lot and tore her hijab off and called her names. It was a huge story in the local media. The alleged assault happened in the daytime on the busiest day of the week at the school. That place is crowded. However, no witnesses have come forward. No video from the security cameras in the parking lot. No nothing.

Since C.A.I.R. is crying for an investigation, we can assume the 'victim' is muslim. Thus, it is likely the 'victim' did not share the details until his C.A.I.R. adviser informed him of what details he should share.

If one were suspicious and smelled a potential conspiratorial situation, one might suggest that C.A.I.R. smells a lawsuit and $$$ and thus helped the 'victim' recall details [actual or not] that could aid in such a potential lawsuit -- if one were suspicious of C.A.I.R.'s intent -- hypothetically, of course.
