Yep, a false flag operation. I wonder if the writer signed it with his real name, Achmed, and wrote Allahu Akbar on it too. That could be something that the police, kind of, shall we say, "overlooked."
I believe you are right. I’d go 95% probability (maybe a shade higher) that this letter was written by Muslims to try to gain sympathy. Does anyone believe some group out there is planning operations against the Muslims and thinks “Gee, let’s warn them that we’re coming. That way they’ll be ready for us. Even better, they can go public with it and law enforcement et. al. will be keeping a closer eye on them, making our operations even more difficult to pull off...” {snort} That’s not the way these things are done. This is almost certainly from the Muslims themselves.
Of course it’s a hoax, here is the clue:
“brothers [Muslims] will be slaughtered like pigs”
Christians don’t call muslims “brothers”. Only another muslim would phrase it like that, so clearly a muslim wrote the letter.
