TV clips disappear occasionally. Remember the clips from a deck on Long Island of a missile streaking up to TWA 800. They were off the air and down the memory hole within an hour.
Did you ever see the video of the okc bombing? It was captured by at least 8 different cameras. ( I bet not.)
How ‘bout the video clips of Vince Foster walking out of the White House to the parking garage? Or leaving the garage going through the gate on his way to Fort Marcy park? Some of the most interesting video goes missing.
In this day of the DSLR capable of professional quality video..and the unbiquitous smart phone.in nearly everyones pocket or bag..videos of any “big” event are going to be rather difficult to disappear....
Id bet the average response to questions about the downed TWA airliner would be “Flight 800? never heard of it”
