Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin will not meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the climate conference in Paris, the Kremlin said today, as a dispute rages over Ankara's downing of a Russian warplane.

"No meeting with Erdogan is planned," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, after the Turkish leader called for a meeting with Putin at the summit to discuss the shooting down of the plane on the Syria-Turkish border.

Well....the turks are actively blockading Russian supplies on their way to kill terrorists that are hostile to every person on Earth, AFTER shooting down a Russian jet that wasn’t even over turkish airspace.

Of course Putin isn’t going to speak to Erdogan.

The proverbial poo is about to hit the fan.

Erdogan family's ISIS oil smuggling business is about to end. It was run by Erdogan's son Bilal(photo):

I don’t blame him.

Unless the Turkish leader was going to bend over and kiss his ass in public, Putin has a huge complaint against that country.

17 seconds into their airspace (if true) and they claim that was enough time to issue 10 warnings and shoot a missile?

LETS SAY for the sake of argument they did issue a warning- and the Russians heard it and were correcting their flight path- that’s barely enough time to let the plane leave the airspace even if they did accidentally cross into it.

What is they claim they did? Warn and then immediately fire a missile?

It is a strange time when i find myself agreeing with the russians more than our own pResident

Putin will not escalate the matter further.

His sabre rattling within Turkey is over. He was put in his place and everybody that matters knows it

I think Putin has “ unfriended” the little Turkish islamist despot

If only NATO had the balls to do the same

What is frightening here...Turkey now represents the dark side (they are buying oil from and are supporting ISIS)... Russia is supposedly going after ISIS...knocking out Turkey's illegal oil supply. Turkey downs a Russian jet as a warning. We are inches from war...yes WE the USA! We are NATO treaty bound to attack Russia if Turkey is attacked.

We should throw Turkey out of NATO because of their actions...helping ISIS. If we do not and Turkey and Russia flare to war, WE are AUTOMATICALLY at war under the NATO treaty.

I think Putin is using this to break up NATO. Will the USA honor the NATO treaty if conflict erupts? With the peaceniks running our government, and their already noted meaningless red lines, they WILL NOT respond with war though even bound by the NATO treaty. Putin sees this weakness clearly and now is the time to strike Turkey and force the destruction if NATO. The resulting choice will be WW3 or the breakup if NATO. With the Nobel Peace Prize pacifist in the White House...Putin WILL call the bluff.

Actually, it is not automatic under the NATO charter. A proposal to invoke Article 5 has to be brought before and voted upon by the NATO council. Considering Turkey’s apparent relationship with ISIS and its actions thus far, I’m not so sure an Article 5 resolution would pass. While the United States (Obama) might support such a vote, would the other NATO members vote to invoke Article 5, given Turkey’s increasingly militant Islamist regime, the blockade of the Dardanelles and the questionable downing of a Russian aircraft.

While Marco Rubio - the ass hat - thinks the US should jump in and defend Turkey, that opinion is not shared by the honest within the Pentagon. Turkey has NEVER been a true friend to the US or NATO.
