I don’t know about ADA, but no doubt there are JTAC’s on the ground helping with the airstrikes.

There is no way ISIS can stand toe to toe with conventional military forces using armor, air support with supremacy, and artillery, but the question will be how bloody will it get when ISIS retreats into the population centers and hides behind civilians? As we learned - combat in urban centers is messy. At this point, I think that is the only chance ISIS has to survive because they can’t defend the territory they have taken. Their only chance will be to do the same thing AQ did in Iraq (with lots of help from Iran) and go back to terrorist and guerrilla tactics - IED’s, suicide attacks, fratricide, and snipers. If that is the case, their caliphate is dead because they won’t be able to claim that they control any territory.

They are pretty dumb strategically. Pissing off Russia and NATO before they cemented control of the territory necessary for their claims was stupid. They are still dangerous because they are dumb fanatics, but I would predict that December will not be a very good month for them or January, February, etc.

Russia doesn’t give a crap about civilian population centers. Remember Grozny. They pounded it to dust.

They’ll do it there, too.
