It’s a Small World After All and everybody is coming to America. The most evil and “rasis” country on da planet.

“Cruz has very skillfully used language to disguise the fact that after the very temporary hold during which there will be a dog and pony show hearing, he was all for continuing importing the same number of H-1B’s unless some nebulous criteria are met.”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The above is worth repeating. The ONLY candidate I would trust to do something about this is Trump. Now of course, he doesn’t own congress, but (a.) he will own the regulators, and I’d love to see them turned like rabid dogs on Silicon Valley and the F100. (b.), he can definitely shape Congress more to his liking three years after he takes office. He will call a turtle...The Turtle.

Trump is the ONLY candidate who IMO can’t be bought. The only difference among the others is their price tags.

I completely agree. 100%.

I worked for 20 years for a company which is (very) large globally, in IT. Very very large. I liked it there, quite a bit. But I left last week.

For many years it has been hiring in South America and elsewhere, and laying off Americans.

I ended up recently working for a woman (long time employee as well, but new manager) who I felt had singled me out for criticism. I went along with every criticism for two months, and hit virtually every single goal she laid out for me in a month and a half (missed a couple but by mere inches, if you will). Yet at the end she was still critical.

The company did not have other openings in America, because they’re exporting every job. I know, I applied for a large number.

I eventually gave up. I am very close to retirement, and might travel a bit now.

But the company is no longer supportive of jobs in America.

That is representative of a much larger problem in America, and the GOP is just a big a portion of that problem, as anyone.

Only Trump is stating we need to be for American jobs.

I completely agree.

I will only vote for someone who is supportive of jobs right here in America.

And at the moment, that is (only) Donald Trump.

He’s it.

Trump is the only one for bringing jobs back to America

One can't help but suspect that it's all that PAC money doing the talking for the others.

It makes me nervous that Cruz is silent on this issue. After his earlier support of a multiple INCREASE of H1B Visas and his getting played in the trade negotiations, I'm not confident that Cruz is reliable on this issue.

Trump is the only one whose INTENTIONS I trust completely!

I agree completely.

I believe PAC money has bought our entire leadership. Every single one of them.

That is also why, I trust only Trump. I like a lot of what Cruz says, don’t get me wrong.

But he’s not come out convincingly for American jobs. I am just not completely convinced yet, that he means to support America by improving American employment.

I don’t trust any of them, to support America that way.

Except Trump. I believe what he says, because he’s not for sale to campaign contributors.

That is huge.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Senator Cruz are presently collaborating together on legislation to reform the H-1B program. I'm curious, do you trust the judgment of Jeff Sessions to do the right thing on this issue?

I agree about Cruz. He talks a good game but he’s a debater and a lawyer - it’s what they do.

Not totally sure about his principle since when he was in private practice, making over 1M a year, he defended China for stealing patents from a Florida man, and there were various others.

He is good at what he does and very ambitious. The article I read said his problem may well be that no one likes him.

So 2/3 of our economy depends on consumer spending.
Majority of jobs now are retail or hospitality.
Retail and hospitality are low paying part time jobs. The workers in these jobs can’t afford to buy many of the products and services. Because the better paying jobs in manufacturing, software, etc. are outsourced or filled with H-1B 3 worlders, the greedy elites, wall street scumbags and crooked politicians are eliminating their customer base. Add the tax burden that falls on the middle class and small business and our economy is in deep trouble. This will lead to bigger government, more handouts and less freedom. The handouts are like crack cocaine and the addiction will force you to vote for the handout politician and it helps keep the electorate pacified.

Someone needs to explain to me how this is different than “everyone taking in each others laundry”.

At this rate, there will be only a political/wealth class, and third world subsistence/slaves in the US, and it will happen sooner than you might think. The post-WWII economy will be discredited, and then expunged from history books like it never happened.

it’s nice to think one would quit instead of train their replacement, but reality might be that the severance package is needed for most people. I despise the people doing this to workers.

Another issue is these foreign workers pay a fraction of the cost for their university degree and books. I’ve seen textbooks printed by McGraw Hill of India that state on the cover not for resale in USA that cost ~20% for the American exact same copy without the resale statement.

Talk about eating your own for a buck.

Could Disney be doing this rather than face the wrath of not having a “diverse” enough workforce? Very poor decision in any case.

It would be interesting to get Mr. Trumps position on the Disney Displacement.

>>This is representative of a huge problem in America today<<

Happening at my company as I type. A large computer company in the fortune 500. I know folks laid off and a week or so later...H1B from India.

Please see post 24.

I just left my own computer firm position, one week ago. Very large global company.

After 20 years. Now I’m not at all bitter don’t misunderstand. I was quite happy, it was a great job and actually I left of my own accord, but the handwriting was on the wall.

What I am saying however is, that America needs someone in charge, who will be for America once again.

We have sold out our own workers, for over one entire generation.

I’m completely serious.

Cruz sucks on H-1B. Illegal immigration is a red herring and keeps attention way for legal immigration which is way out of hand.
