Not necessarily. The answer to this is apparently among one of the thousands of "codings" that are REQUIRED by the Obamacare act. If you decline to answer, that tells the government a lot about YOU. If the doctor declines to ask, that tells the government a lot about HIM (OK Austingirl, or HER). Neither case is good. The real problem is that the doctor is required to ask. It's time to get the government completely out of the doctor's office.
