Pay no attention to humblegunner, he thinks there’s gonna be a prize for the most pathetic jerk to get his screen name on FreeRepublic.

IMO, if you are a gun owner, just lie and say “no”.

Sure, it makes them think that they are desensitizing you and can push further, but that’s their problem as they are building a castle on sand.

If you tell them to Sod Off they will probably mark down that you are a gun owner and “uncooperative”.

I have found, in the past, that it is better in some situations to just nod, smile, appear to be a compliant idiot, and continue to pursue my own aims.

The real idiots pat themselves on the back and continue to live in their dream world, thinking they are advancing their agenda.

I have never been asked but if I was my answer would be, yes I do own a gun...in fact several. A grease gun, a staple gun, an air gun, a glue gun, a water gun, a nerf gun and I think there is a potato gun somewhere in the garage that I made for the kids when they were young. If I left anymore out I’ll call and let you know.

There were some better ones, but the language was not appropriate. I have 1 guy I just blocked on my FB who post on another persons’ page, but he drops F bombs way to often, tried to tell him his post bleed over into my page, and I won’t let that go. So I blocked him. My page is Christan and Political, with a little family thrown in. Even blocked a cousin for posting her wican junk.

Your own doc is unlikely to ask the question him/herself. It’s usually on a form these days. I’ve filled out this form for our HMO now several times, and every time I check “no” . . . as in, “No, I’m not answering this invasive question, thanks!”

Hard for me to lie about it. But, I have never been asked.

I regularly open carry around town in Yuma, Arizona.   A couple of months ago, my Doctor recommended that I undergo a series of tests, mostly as a precaution.  My Doctor and I get along quite well.  She has never offered any complaint about my open carry in her office, and it has become something of a joke with the receptionist that I have to remove a considerable amount  of gear, including pistol, knife, phone, keys and other items before I weigh in.

Besides, if they require random things unrelated to the safe and effective practice of your profession as a prerequisite to their grant of the “privilege” do so, they forfeit their authority to issue “licenses”, and you have no ethical need to obtain their permission to practice.

***let’s assume there are 150 million 15-29 year olds In the US- 1 in 5 would mean

That means 30 million people are dying from guns per year?***

Yeah. Horse hockey.

I don’t know if I have my figures right, probably not, but I looked it up for millenials, and it states 18-49: 136.4 million (42.8%) so maybe like 100 million or so but that still means for 1 in 5 to die from guns, 20 million people a year would be dying-

They’re not saying 1 in 5 people total in that age range are killed each year, they’re saying 20% OF DEATHS for that age range are gun deaths (which is still Bravo Sierra, but in a whole different league than the way you were counting it).
