“Thats the first decent thing this guy has said all season.”

I don’t know about decent, but it is an intelligent
thing to to say. That is if he means it. If he would have
said the opposite it would have buried any chance of the
RNC forcing him on Trump as VP. Just like they did with
his daddy.

Means Jeb’s family and advisors read the tea leaves and are changing strategy. Follow old man’s lead and force brokered vp spot at convention.

The liberal republicans will say what ever they believe will benefit them. They’ve shown they’d rather lose to a liberal democrat than win with a genuine Conservative.

Sounds like Bush is angling for a job in the Trump Administration, given that he probably has NOTHING ELSE to do after he figures out a way to politely tell his parents and brother that he’s simply not into this stuff.

But I don’t imagine Trump will bother with ANYONE from the GOPe, so Bush may want to go back to college or something, so as to start a new career.

Very smart. It sounds like [Jeb Bush] is getting ready for a graceful exit.

I think it is merely a matter of time until he exits the race. (Considering his plummeting poll numbers, it is unlikely that he will be the eventual GOP nominee.)

Of course, it remains uncertain whether Donald Trump will be that nominee. (Some believe that he will eventually implode. But that theory has been around for quite awhile now; and The Donald is still leading the polls.)

There is still plenty of time for someone to overtake him--perhaps a Marco Rubio or a Ted Cruz--but it is not the inevitability that many people once believed it to be.

Don't believe this for a nano second...

Jeb is for Jeb, and no other reason, this is a plan to get a nomination from some states so Trump won't get them, not saying that Jeb could ever do anything to Trump, just don't buy into the ‘dirty playbook’ of the Clintons, which he and his family are part of....

Or, Bush thinks he has a chance to pick up much of Trump’s support (or at least not be blamed) when the RNC’s secret campaign to smear Trump knocks him out of the race.

“Yeb is a liar. No trust.”

My first thought was Jeb! was taking a big dying swing at Trump, expecting a response from serious conservatives along the lines of “Well, if JEB is going to support Trump, then Trump must not be our man.”

Way too late, Jeb!

Terri Schiavo, Jeb.

"Jeb Bush says he would support Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton".

Jeb's comment is neither "smart", "decent" or "sober" as some here seem to think.

It's carefully-phrased, deliberate pure Bushian snark.....and a sly left-handed slam at Mr. Trump.

He might as well be saying he would support Donald Trump over Al Capone, Bernie Madoff, Bernie Sanders or Pinocchio...which is not saying much for the Donald.

If only Jeb was as clever as he thinks he is.

Bush Sr’s friends in the CIA would ensure that Trump had an accident soon after the election.

Has The Guardian asked Bernie if he would support Hillary? If not, why not?

Nice thing to say, but I'm afraid I don't believe him.
