The problem with Trump is that he doesnât engage his brain before he opens his mouth.
I heard him say he was Presbyterian but of course to some that is not Christian
You Evangelicals have your orders from the GOPe now:
You are not allowed to vote for Trump! Period.
[ Personally, I’ll be voting AGAINST whatever soul-sucking, parasitic, America-hating, progressive-communist, Christian-hating, pro-muslim, pro-diversity, open borders douche-nozzle the Democrats nominate. ]
The main reason I like Trump is because the left hates him.
Sure it is. Time to bring down the gop. We need a new party.
So now they are using the Bible to try and bring down Trump. I can also think of many versus in the Bible to justify why Christians should vote for Trump. Now they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. What is next? Use the Koran to justify why we should not vote for Trump? This is pure rubbish talk now.
Meanwhile, too many conservatives display nothing but shame when attacked by opponents that are far more deserving of shame but have none.
I’ll take a fighter rather than a weeper this time around.
Your comment is ridiculous. Our country has HUGE problems and the man’s occasional brash comments are what sets you sitting on a pin’s point?
What tortured thinking!
Trump is running for President, not Pope.
Evangelicals’ national and local pastors and leaders are in the papers for committing incest, adultery, theft, murder of spouse — you name it.
Apply your legalistic standards to yourself and don’t be pharasaic.
The same God who can send a leader to be a judgement to a nation can send one to be a blessing.
It seems the “evangelicals” would have stayed in Babylon and not gone back to Jerusalem because the ruler that freed them (Cyrus) was uncircumcised.
Seems to me Evangelicals are more politically astute than we give them credit for; they “get it” more quickly than others.
An evangelical pastor on BOR said his congregation rose en masse to applaud Trump’s unequivocal statement that hell “bomb the crap out of Isis.”
Another 200,000 evangelicals downloaded the pastor’s words later.
BTTT
He said he does not need forgiveness for anything he has done.
By his own lips, he is not a Christian.
You can’t know a person is a Christian, for a person may say they are one even though they are not. But you can know a person is NOT a Christian if they say things like what Trump said about his own need for the blood of Christ.
I’m not judging the man. I’m just saying he said he doesn’t need the blood of Christ. That makes him, by definition, not a Christian. He’s probably an agnostic.
I divide people into three groups:
1. Found sheep.
2. Lost sheep.
3. Goats.
He is not number one, but may be number 2. Time will tell.
As a evangelical Christian I support Cruz, but have no problem voting for Trump...
Trump isn’t a Christian, (at less by my measure) many former POTUS were not either, so I don’t see an issue here evangelicals voting for him...
Sure it is. Time to bring down the gop. We need a new party.
Be careful what you wish for.
from article:
“or his more serious attacks on Mexican immigrants”
Agree. The above distortion of what Trump said was as far as anyone needs to read to get a grasp of what this writer is about.
Can the candidate who is acceptable to "evangelicals" (whatever that means) get elected?
Very, very doubtful.
Well, CNN sure hates him. That’s good enough for me.
