Frankly, I doubt any Pres candidate save for Rand Paul would give a crap about this.

FATCA made me give up on the Republican Party for good. Rand Paul was literally the only politician on either side I heard say anything at all about reforming it.

Individual liberty is the forgotten issue for 2016. I guess because nobody in a position to make large political contributions cares about it.

Agreed, and I go against the grain here as I think a national ID or comparable state ID are good. And once we secure the border we can then weed out and deport everyone without legal right in the US. And the cost, since the government is ultimately going to pay, we might as well just get it done, giving us a sooner opportunity to deport illegal aliens.
