I seem to recall he tried to destroy a bin full of rice with a hand grenade. The grenade went off as planed but (just kidding) our stalwart hero was hit in the gluteus maximus by a small bit of shrapnel. He sought medical attention after he returned from his secret mission and his life was spared by the timely application of a spot band-aid. Whereupon he immediately penned a communication to his CO requesting his consideration for his second, or was it third purple-hurt decoration...
