Long, but mostly accurate. Virgil possibly misses an alternate reason for the Democrats desire for a new wave of beholden, indigent immigrants- Dems are not reproducing in sufficient quantities to replicate themselves and are destined to be overtaken otherwise.

If it weren't for George HW Bush and H Ross Perot, the Democrat party would be nothing but a memory.

Hopefully Trump/Cruz can do the job that Reagan started.

The GOP is dying faster. By only identifying with the rich corporations, they are pushing a great many to the socialists.

I believe the election will be a resounding victory for the GOP in spite of all the efforts by the GOP elites to lose it.

If the Democrats are willing to watch while illegals cross our border, then why won’t the Democrats let these illegals register to vote?

There is a reason Trump wants to deport the illegals and then maybe let them back in. Trump wants to purge the voter registration rolls.

only a truly bone-headed move by the Republicans could save the Democrats from electoral debacle in 2016

or 10 million new citizen Democrat voters and/or the fact that Soros counts the votes from several of the states and/or the likelihood that the DoJ will not permit any positive ID of any voters and the normal throwing out of the military vote.

I guess there was a reason for them to choose an a$$ for a party symbol.

I think you can count on the 2016 Uniparty to come together. IF it looks like the Congress will be controlled by the GOP, count on Shrillary being installed in the White House and she appointing up to four new SCOTUS Justices during her reign on the RAT throne, and the America that you and I knew will only be a memory in the history books. The CPUSA will have won 5 decades after the Commie plan was written into the Congressional record Communist Goals (1963

When Karl Rove thinks Mitch McConnel would be a great VP we really don’t have much in common with either party.

A lengthy and excellent article, and thanks for posting. The key to understanding what happened to the Democrat party is the ideological change that most people date to right around the Vietnam War. Whether this is anything new or simply the flowering of seeds long planted is a question I shall leave to historians.

Those assumptions are: (1) the the United States is fundamentally evil; (2) that it must be punished, and; (3) reformed along the lines of the one ideology that promises "peace" - that of international socialism. (That "peace", incidentally, was defined by Marx in a moment of candor as "The absence of opposition to socialism." That turns out to be a little circular for intelligent argument, but they take it very seriously indeed.)

In one package we have a classic ideology: a self-defined tribal group, a set of unquestionable precepts, a sense of moral rectitude, and a doctrine of violence toward outsiders. This particular one adds a sense of romanticism, the cultivation of envy, and a rejection of reason in preference to passion. These are strong tools for the construction of a cult or a political movement.

The Democrat party of Scoop Jackson and Hubert Humphrey is dead, because those men are dead and gone with them is their own credo that America is not evil and does not need to be punished and transformed. The new keepers in their place do not really reject nationalism, they reflect our nationalism. Even to term this multiculturalism is inexact: they reject our culture while submerged in the plenty it has brought because yes, it is nice, but America is fundamentally evil and hence a suitable target for plunder.

What is actually going on here is far deeper than a single election. Eight years of control by the Left has resulted only in increased debt, increased hatred, increased lawlessness, increased violence, and an incessant demand for more of the same forever. Their agents will not take rejection well.

And as we have also seen, they {Democrats} no longer worry about worker's wages-and that only makes sense, because the two big magnetic poles of the new Democratic coalition, Al Sharpton and George Soros, are both oblivious to wages. Why? Because Sharpton's core constituents aren't in the workforce; they make their living through welfare, not work. And as for Soros and his fellow billionaires, they couldn't be bothered to think about anything as microscopic as a mere wage. Meanwhile, Democratic politicos believe that if they just get the immigrant ranks big enough, they can get the Democratic vote big enough.

Sick - this guy gets what's happening - and why. Long piece but an amazing read. Democrats are going down.

Virgil should have made this into a series or a small book. Lots of great ideas packed too close together... Amazing thinker...
