I live very remote; the only thing I know about progressive is another cord of wood is progress.

I hear you. I have about 5 cords set aside for my wood boiler.
Us, too. We cut, split and stack all our own wood. Our
wood stove is rather smallish; but big enough to ratchet
up too much heat in the house if we don’t watch it. Momma
always taught me to put on a stick of stovewood at a time &
deal with that. - We have a splitter & that was the best
day’s work we ever did getting that. Saves husband a lot
of stress splitting wood manually. We have to take some
easier ways out; but still can’t goof off too much. - We
went in to Shoney’s last night for Thanksgiving dinner. I
just can’t do all that cooking any more to the total
disgust of many in the family; but I’m in my 70th year &
can’t do it any more.
