The states really need to assert their rights. States rights are often not stood up for as they desire federal money. Here is a case where the money does not justify the risk. Perhaps the states will consider taking punitive actions against the feds for each punitive action the feds take against them.

Come on states. Assert your statehood. Assert your sovereignty. Do what is right for your citizens.

Did you know that county Sheriffs have the authority to push back against Fedgov forces? They are the ultimate authority when it comes to States' Rights. Even the Governors can't interdict a Sheriff's authority.

Lurkus- there was a case a long time ago where the federal government passed a law, and the states banned together and refused to comply AND stated that any federal agent who tried to enforce the law in their states would be arrested- The government was forced to rescind the law because they had no way of enforcing it from there on out- I had the info awhile back but have since lost it-

It would be absolutely fantastic if the states would do so again
