I’ve told my kids that it simply IS NOT SAFE for them (actually their kids) to go to a college for ANYTHING other than taking classes to get a degree. They now need to STAY FOCUSED on that one objective and then GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE as fast as possible.
At this point, the way things are, they risk what I call the economic death penalty of being EXPELLED by a school-run Show Trial for, say, having sex with a chick who regrets it the next day...and now taking one step to the right when coming upon some Amish gets you another Show Trail for micro-aggression, which can also get you expelled.
And the problem with being expelled is that you are radioactive as far as other schools are concerned - so your chance of ever getting a college education is out the door.
Given all that...simply commute to college.
It’s no longer having sex with a chick who regrets it the next day. Economic death would be from the slightest deviation of the political orthodoxy of the day (Mao Zedong Thought). Just remember:
