An absolutely sordid story. Some of the sworn testimony at the links (that still work -- get 'em while you can) reads like any number of thrillers that Hollywood produced over the next 30 years.

I’ve always believed just one of the reasons the border isn’t shut down is because DC is getting a big cut from the drug trade through donations or whatever.
