They basically paid $90,000 for a piece of paper which says they are certified. If they went the full six years....it’s probably $140,000 invested. If they all had engineering degrees....I wouldn’t say much negative. But it’s become more of a comic opera now where Johnny Junior comes back home dumber than when he left.
Not all turn out that way but so many of them do. There are exceptions. My children were well grounded from our talks and warnings about what they would encounter out there. Hy turned out okay but them again we didn't spoil them growing up. We made them earn their own money and pay their own way. It makes a huge difference when you don't spoil them. Friends of mine who spoiled their children now have them leaning on them for money often even in adulthood. They're not truly self-sufficient and are a pain in their parent's behinds.
