Get real, folks. Veeps are selected not on emotion but what strength they can bring to the ticket. The geographical location of the state they are from and the number of electoral votes they can bring in...in addition to a respected/popular name and qualifications....are all taken into consideration in big league politics.

Alaska has 3 electoral votes, so forget Palin. Cruz is perpetually mired in second tier slots, there's little enthusiasm for him evinced anywhere except on conservative forums...even though he's from a large electoral vote state and is a good conservative, how many bodies can be counted in his speech "crowds"? Most people I talk to hardly know him from shinola.

My guess is as good as any, but I'm sure Trump's choice for his VP will be unique...and will amaze and delight us all.

(...maybe even a tough, well-known, top ex-military leader with administrative experience...I'm just ruminating now, of course, but wouldn't THAT make the left's heads explode? LOL).

Any suggestions for VP from you? A well known female politician perhaps? Or One of the other 2016 candidates?

Contrary to your assertion, Trump/Cruz 2016. And, you know we don't disagree often. My feeling is that the people of the country, once they get to know Cruz, will support him. He's more like Reagan than anyone in the group.

I would be in agreement with your analysis any other general election, but this one is unlike any we've seen before > IMO.

Trump is going to mop the floor with Hillary. Even the word yuge won't be sufficient. He has dented the minorities, women, and even the Democrat party itself. Republicans will vote for him, even the moderates. Conservatives will too, but even more-so if he selects Curz. Trump isn't going to need the traditional bump from a V.P. state, but Curz's state Texas will certainly help him. You know my thoughts on the Curz problem. This is still how I see it. What you say makes a lot of sense any year but this one. Even Reagan didn't get the massive total victory Trump is about to get. It's going to be a hoot watching this take place, even more-so seeing it coming. To sooner the better folks... Climb on board the express...

Trump is going to mop the floor with Hillary. Even the word yuge won’t be sufficient.

Conservatives will too, but even more-so if he selects Curz.

Trump isn’t going to need the traditional bump from a V.P. state, but Curz’s state Texas will certainly help him.

You know my thoughts on the Curz problem. This is still how I see it.

I totally agree.

Who started this rumor and why? Trump is unique. In marriage he tends to bring home the smart girls, but of exotic timber, and in friendships his right arm campaign guys are New Jersey street fighters.

So Trump looks at the presidency and he looks at the world on fire, and will be looking for trust, intellect and proven accomplishment, but perhaps also, an unexpected exotic, a non-pol.

If he should even turn to a politician, then the accomplishment factor points to Jeff. Trump-Sessions, 2012.

Along the lines of what you said, I have been wondering if he’s dropping hints about Gen. Petraus. Maybe not VP, but Joint Chiefs of Staff, or Sec of he Army.

Agree with your entire post, Leni!

I’m in Trxas and I don’t see any Cruz bumper stickers, anywhere. And, we’re on the TX highways quite a bit. I see more Trump and Hellary (ugh) stickers.

Go Trump.
