Let me give you my two cents: we have Russian trolls here

If you don't mind, I'd like to explore that a little further.

Let's say a far-leftie registered here on FR and started posting Democrat talking points. And he did so not because he particularly believed those points, but because he wanted to advance the Democrat Party cause. Propaganda and disruption, that is his agenda. That person would be a troll.

Are you saying that some folks here are trying to advance Russia's cause, or cause disruption, without regard to the truth of their arguments? If so, why? Are they Russian nationals?

Please don't think I'm being sarcastic here. I'm really curious as to your opinion on this.

Well, he says [leaning on his cane]. It all started with Cliton's bombing of Serbia, which is when I believe the Russians saw they had a "sympathetic" audience here (much like now with Obama's bombing of Syria, if you think about it).

Then Georgia, that we will set aside . . . but they were here with the same techniques.

In a sense, they found the soft underbelly of FR: Paultards, paleos, peaceniks (all of whom object to the label 'Putinista,' but march to the same drum). They just have to pretend to be conservative here and there (much like the others on the list), but all they do is spew Russian government talking-points like sewage through a 24" pipe.

And the tactic works, why should they change it? They just whine like babies when someone points it out. Logical fallacies mean nothing to them. It's all about the spin.
