A very good point. I submit that in cases of absolutely confirmed rape (no 'he said/she said' situations) that upon conviction, the perpetrators will be subject to immediate castration plus 10 years in the can.

By the time they get out, they will have probably experienced what their victim(s) did, and they won't be raping anyone else, even if they wanted to.

Murder verses violent rape and their punishments. Yeah, I can see the problem with having someone going for the kill if they know the end will be the same. So, how about this, quick death verses long agonizing death for murder. Works for me.

Fortunately I don’t live in an area where this type behavior seems to be the norm so perhaps I am not the best source here. Maybe we should take a poll from those who live in such areas and see what they say, just a thought.

I know this, just before my dad died, he told me I was the man of the house and if anyone harmed any of the women there, it was my responsibility to take out who did it. He was a cop and said bluntly, don’t count on the police and the courts to make a correct outcome. I had seen him in action one time when someone cursed at his mother with my dad not in view. I believe raping is such a heinous crime that it might be worse than murder, as the victim has been permanently damaged.

As a father, there is no end I would go to if my own daughter was subject to such an event.

Most of the time, I think the perp usually murders his victim anyway. May as well attempt to provide at least a smidgen of deterrent by making it a capital crime. We really don't need these guys to be walking the street again after they've served their time. Didn't the Kitty Genovese murderer get out of jail (not sure, but I think he did)?
