My wife and I decided on the 4th birthday of our first child to disconnect from cable, television, movies, etc.
Since then we have noticed that there is a marked lack of the generation gap, ADHD, truancy, etc., from our children (5 of them). I have always believed that the modern entertainment industry is exactly analogous to hooking up a sewer pipe to your house and turning it on.
Wise move. I told my kids we were “too busy” to watch TV. TV was for people who didn’t know what to do.
