Beethoven disrupts anti-migrant rally in Germany
BBC | November 24, 2015

German police are taking legal action against theatre staff in Mainz for disrupting an anti-migrant rally by singing Beethoven's Ode to Joy.

About 300 people gathered over the weekend near the theatre in the south-western city to protest against the government's "chaotic" asylum policy.

But speakers were interrupted by the theatre staff singing "All people will be brothers" from the symphony.

Police say the right to free assembly is guaranteed by the constitution.

They argue that it is therefore a criminal offence to disrupt such events.

Islamists ban all music. Iranians ban alot of it. Officially the only western music that you are supposed to have in Iran is non religious classical. Beethovens 5th, ok. 9th not ok. Mozart sym 40, Ok, requiem, not ok.

Isn't that special. I wish it were so here.

In academentia in the U.S.A. administrators assert that disrupting (conservative) lectures and forums is "free speech" which supercedes others' rights.

So much for bastions of higher education.

What do you mean when you say "spoofed"? What is that, and how does it relate to this thread?

Actually, it’s freedom from governmental interference to assemble. Since disruptors aren’t the government, I suppose it’s their right to be there. The disrupting might be a civil crime, though.
