Agreed. I'm guessing (hoping) that the folks who reflexively posted pro-cop on this thread will have second thoughts after watching the video.

From my perspective anyone who is pro-cop without any regard to the actual circumstances is part of the problem we have in having a decent civilan police force. They seem to be of the opinion that 1. Cops can do no wrong. 2. If the do do something wrong, well the dead guy somehow deserved it. You see this kind stuff with the $hit kickers from Whacko who, because they don’t like bikers, think that it’s o.k. to indiscriminenty kill them “for the good of society.”
I used to spend a good deal of time with our town’s first Chief of Police since he had married a family friend, but it became obvious to me that he would mindlessly defend anything that cops did no matter how unlawful it was up to and including saying that another local department’s shooting to death a resident (whom a friend had asked for the cops to check on her because she was in a disturbed condition). She was a 90# Asian woman who felt threatened and she picked up a knife in her kitchen when the cops arrived and they shot her to death.
So much to say, if you give most cops an excuse to shoot you, they will, and they will get away with it 99% of the time. At a time when we vitally need good law enforcement, what we get falls woefully short.
