The political operative behind the nonprofit that just began attacking Ted Cruz in Iowa is a Marco Rubio backer who served as a co-host of a fundraiser for the Florida senator last week.
Sean Noble is the founder of American Encore, a 501(c)4 nonprofit, which is paying $200,000 to air an ad in Des Moines that accuses Cruz of voting to âweaken national securityâ and urges him to âstop leading from behind.â Noble said that while he personally is backing Rubio â he served as a co-host of scotch and cigars fundraiser in Arizona last week â his group is not.

And it begins the GOPe evil attempted takedown of Cruz.
Rush Limbaugh commented today that you will never find the Democrats attacking each other, not even the DNC will pit one candidate against the other. Only the Republicans and the RNC go after each other like dogs and the media gobble it all up (pun intended).
I’m certain that guys like Rubio want us in bed with Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of 9/11 terrorists and terrorist ideology, in the name of ‘national security’.
He’s just another John McCain and Lindsey Graham ready to support the tyrants and terrorists of his liking.
Unbelieveable...
Hate to disagree with Rush, but didn't Hillary and Obama go after each other pretty hard? After all, she was the one who first went after him on the birther issue.
Rubio is a pipsqueak twerp.
Okay that wasn’t a strong and persuasive argument, but it is the view from where I sit.
Well, there is $200,000 shot to hell....LOL
Gee, if your going to run an ad at least make it credible. Rubio looks even worse for these shenanigans from his PAC. Makes Rubio look to be an establishment lair. Perception is everthing and it will give Cruz the chance to go on TV and show that the charge is 180 degrees wrong, it will boomerang on Marco.
Because Rubio doesn’t have the spine or the balls to take Cruz on head-to-head. Without the glib delivery of his carefully-rehearsed talking points (which he repeats ad nauseum), Rubio is nothing but an empty-suited acolyte of John McCain and Lindsey Graham.
The RNC’s role in this political charade is to get real Americans out of the way of the DNC candidates. Although, occasionally, the DNC throws the RNC a bone and lets ‘em win one - just to make it seem real.
I support Ted Cruz. But what Rubio is doing is, at least, politics. Rubio is in striking distance and a viable candidate. He wants to take on Ted Cruz, fine. Mess with the bull, get the horns. All of Marco’s musings and attacks won’t ever ever ever erase the Gang of 8. Ted has the cash to fight back.
What is being done to Trump, however, sucks and is no more than a GOPe temper tantrum. Really, a GOPe act of self-destruction. Kasich and Bush are non-entities in this campaign and using their money to take out Trump is just another way of saying, “if we aren’t the nominees, then nobody can be.” or “hey, you stupid arse base voters, we tell YOU what is good for you. By the way, don’t forget to vote for us during the general election.”
Who is surprised. Rubio reminds me of a sleezy used car salesman. I wouldn’t vote for him in a heart beat.
J Goldberg said today of Cruz:
Cruz is the guy swimming the moat with a knife in his teeth, and he knows how to fight.
