Well that’s not taking his ball and going home. Do you think Trump should just stand by while the GOP rigs the process to deny him the nomination?

I’d bet if his name is on the ballot in the general election no matter where it is, he will win.

I assume you’re referring to Trump? As far as a communicator, he is not “Reaganesque” in that respect, assuredly, however, based on what I’ve seen in his arena size crowds and people I’ve spoken with, he connects with people...especially everyday working people. He’s certainly not erudite and nuanced, but times, IMO, do not require that right now. Perhaps in the future, again, but not now. As far as beating the Dem...you can’t be serious...Clinton with her baggage (she might be in jail or at least indicted by then) Sanders (a socialist) and O’Malley?

Not of Trump round third party as he is threatening again

We basically have a third party now. Dems, GOPe, and the rest of us. I would submit there’s more of us than the GOPe, just hard for people to let go.

You can be damn sure HC will be the dem-nom.

She can get anyones killer instinct up. Trump had better seek help.

Cruz could hold himself but still would take a lot of guts listening to HC. I hope they both have what will be needed in the long run.
TRUMP/CRUZ...CRUZ/TRUMP. Either way!

Clinton’s Bagage? Too many illegals, feminists, and dumbasses love her baggage! Most don’t even know what her baggage is or care.

We’ll let go if it’s the real deal. We’re tired of being screwed. Taking a chance but that’s life.

Finally, his own foreign policy adviser said Carson had difficulty grasping the Middle East.

The author seems to downplay this, but I see it as making a much bigger splash than the others. Beyond everything else, it smacks of sabotage.

Not of Trump round third party as he is threatening again. A 3P hands it to Hillary as long as she is unindicted. She may win even with an indictment.

He's using the threat as leverage. When former Republican state chairmen formally try to get you off the ballot in the New Hampshire primary, or several candidates collude to work against him, a lot of people would concede that isn't playing fair.

Yes, I was appalled at the attempt to get him off the ballot in NH. That really got my dander up. Not a Trump fan at all, but that GOPe tactic is what really makes people angry.

Besides me? I only predicted it fifty times, especially after they got him in the lead. I knew it was GOPe puffery, only designed to slow down Trump or steal the headlines from him. #EpicFail

What concerns me about this latest Curz showing in Iowa is that it is also emanating from a Quinnipiac University survey.

Remember them? They were the first to state Carson was surging in Iowa.

This appears to me to be a tip-off that Cruz is about to get the Carson treatment across the nation.

While Curz’s followers will be quick to rejoice, the problem is, what happens when the polls open and the deceit is revealed.

IMO, the Carson numbers were never real. All of a sudden out of nowhere he was supposed to be up with Trump.

Now Curz, also seemingly nowhere, is doing the same thing (supposedly).

I’m not confident at all that Curz is actually surging. I think he’s been Quinnipiaced.

I have said several times that I can support Trump or Cruz. The killer for the GOP if they “force” Trump out or screw Cruz in the lead up to the convention. Freepers should not engage in useless rhetoric against Cruz or Trump. We want the best we can get and for the first time we have a shot for someone much closer to our views to be the nominee.

We can discuss legitimate policy issues but there are too many DU type arguments on the board. IMHO.

Ben Carson is the victim of a pyramid scheme.

You know, something gnawed at me too about that, but I didn't remember it was Q that did the first "Carson leads" poll. I don't think Cruz is that close either, but as per my habit on FR, I am not commenting on ANY polls being "good, bad, right, wrong."

That said, I'd like to see PPP IA and the newest Reuters/Morning Consult/OAN polls.

You are of course aware that Sanders regularly gets crowds that equal or surpass Trump’s?

Any car wreck can draw a crowd. That should not be confused for electability.

I doubt it. He had one large crowd that made news, and that was it. Especially since the first Dem debate. If you have evidence to the contrary, I’d like to see it. Additionally, look at the supporters....Sanders is not getting hardly any crossovers...just Boomer socialists, communists and the idealistic youth who haven’t grown up yet. Trump is getting a large cross section of working class, Repubs, Dems and Indies. Consider it as those who pay taxes vs those who don’t or take from those who do. There’s a big difference in the voting blocs.
