We are NOT required to go to war on behalf of Turkey. We can deem any lesser action such economic sanctions etc sufficient and let that be it.
It the concept is hard remember how Turkey stabbed us in the back in Iraq, changing the nature of the war and costing US lives.
Or remember when Turkey invaded Cyprus.

No, we are not required to go to war for the caliphate, though Obama would love to.

Obama recognizes that many Americans prefer Putin to him, and it’s not even a “picking up a turd by the clean end” decision.

He would start a war to keep us from joining Russia in a war against the Satanists of Mecca.
