Trump: 'Many people jumped and I witnessed it' on 9/11

Columbus, Ohio (CNN)Donald Trump said Monday that he witnessed people jumping out of the Twin Towers on 9/11 from the view in his apartment.

"Many people jumped and I witnessed it, I watched that. I have a view -- a view in my apartment that was specifically aimed at the World Trade Center," Trump said Monday during a rally in Columbus, Ohio.

"And I watched those people jump and I watched the second plane hit ... I saw the second plane hit the building and I said, 'Wow that's unbelievable,'" Trump continued.

At least 200 people are believed to have jumped from the Twin Towers after planes struck the towers in an attack that claimed more than 2,600 lives.

The Republican presidential contender lives in Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, more than four miles away from where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Trump has lived in the 5th Avenue tower since before the attacks, according to media reports pre-dating 9/11.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment asking how Trump witnessed people jumping out of the Twin Towers from more than four miles away.

Trump on Monday also dug into his claim that Muslims in New Jersey celebrated the terrorist attacks on 9/11, a claim that has been widely debunked by multiple fact-checkers.

It happened. It was shown on TV. People saw it on TV and in person.

Just because the video has largely been cleansed off the internet doesn’t mean its a lie.

I'm critical of the vast majority of them too; however, I see Trump as highly competent, an EXTREMELY "loyal". patriotic American, who CAN and shall win the White House. He also has THE best chance of all of them!

I expect someone has already “done the math” on this, but...

My husband’s PhD is in Physics/Adaptive Optics and was in charge of the mega telescope at a space surveillance site. He checked out the photos of the telescope in Trump’s penthouse and identified the size, make, etc. He did some calculations and said that with a line of sight to the WTC, the jumpers could’ve been seen — easily and clearly.

I cannot understand why the people in our own party are so vicious when it comes to Trump. I can’t understand why they’d rather see Hillary as president than Trump, but that’s exactly the mindset.

I expect that Mr. Trump has staff whose job it is to scan this site and similar sites 24/7 finding useful information. And he probably has people who are at the top of the Physics field who’ve already provided input.

But I’ll suggest that DH send the info via Trump’s website just in case. You never know...

There was a video made and posted here on FR with raw video from 9/11. It was quit long. No words, IIRC, just haunting music. I would bawl like a baby every time I watched it. I wish I had saved it. It showed the second plane hitting and people jumping.

If anyone knows the video I am talking about and has a link to it, I would really appreciate seeing it again.Sorry to be so vague, I wish I could remember more details.
