Rubio is a cute guy, but he has not a level head when it comes to foreign policy. Please oh please, fellow Americans, do not choose him.

NO way an attack inside Turkey would be suicide.

Since Russia started its bombing campaign in Syria its warplanes have been accused of violating Turkey's airspace on a number of occasions, but each airspace violation has had one thing in common: they have all occurred over Turkey’s Hatay province.

Q: What is so important about the Hatay province?

A: Syria has long disputed Turkey's sovereignty over Hatay province, which boarders Syria’s Latakia governorate, although the international community is in agreement that the region belongs to Turkey. In 2012 a Syrian fighter jet shot down a Turkish F-4 Phantom killing the pilot in the process over the region as well. Moscow knows that the Hatay province is a source of tension between Syria and Turkey- so flying Russian jets near the border serves as a useful way to keep local tensions high while testing Turkey, and by extension NATO's air defenses.

Russisn tourists spend a lot of money in Turkey. I wonder what will happen now? When the Ruble colapsed in 1997, the Turkish economy went into recession. This could be worse.

Hopefully Soetoro won’t try to come to the aid of Turkey (and hopefully none of the NATO articles will be invoked). Let Putin turn Turkey into turkey, but I’m not interested in turning into a Deathclaw.

Turkey should never have been let into NATO from the start. From the start it seemed like a sly move on Turkey’s part, to appear moderate, get NATO membership and then show its true colors as solidly Muslim.

Like many countries, the leadership is one way and the citizenry another. When Erdogan shed his moderate disguise, he really doubled-crossed much of the Turkey citizenry which is moderate and Israel also.

Yes this could be how WWIII starts if NATO allows itself to be pulled in due to Turkey’s stab in the back to Russia. Russia may wonder if Turkey is acting as a front man for NATO or the US.

If Putin wants to make Istanbul “Constantinople” again, that’s fine with me.

A Russian military aircraft violated a sovereign nation’s airspace. It was shot down for doing so. You can despise the Turks, love the Russians or vice versa. It doesn’t matter. The action was justified by Turkey.

The Russians know what they are doing and they suffered the consequences of taking a provocative action.

The Turks that shot the parachuting crew? Disgusting animals.

Turkish fighters routinely violate Greece’s air space, by that logic Greece should start shooting down Turkish planes.

Maybe it was, but I do not trust Obama not to lie to us and therefore Turkey either.
