“What, Erdogan lie?”

He doesn’t need to lie. The Russian SU-24 was being photographed and video recorded from many different angles by many different people. It is very obvious beyond possible doubt that the Russian SU-24 took a straight line course from one part of Syria to another part of Syria by overflying a part of Turkey lying between them. Just look at the photographs and the radar tracks.

The current situation in the world is so sick that I wouldn’t be that surprised if our president encouraged him to do it, given that they appear to be good friends.

Turkish Prime Minister Defends Decision To Shoot Down Russian Jet

Last updated (GMT/UTC): 24.11.2015 13:49

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has defended Turkey’s shooting down of a Russian fighter jet at the border with Syria, saying Ankara has the right “to take all kinds of measures” against border violations according to international law.

Davutoglu said on November 24 that Turkey will not hesitate to take all steps to protect the country’s security, calling it Turkey’s “national duty.” He stressed that the action did not amount to an aggression against any foreign territory.

Moscow says the plane that was downed never strayed from Syrian territory.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the rebel group that says it has the body of one of the Russian pilots who ejected from the downed plane says rebels are conducting search operations in the area to find the second crew member.

Jahed Ahmad of the 10th Brigade in the Coast, a group affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, said his group would consider exchanging the body of the Russian pilot they are holding with prisoners held by the Syrian government.

The incident threatened to increase international tension over war-torn Syria, where Russia is a major backer of President Bashar al-Assad’s government and NATO member Turkey is one of its most vocal critics.
